Our Curriculum
Sprouts
Preschool (ages 2-3)
- Thematic Units: Nature and the environment; Animals and their habitats; Colors and shapes; Food Groups; Community helpers.
- Language & Literacy: Story-time; Rhymes, songs, and puppet plays; Introduction to letters, sounds, and words.
- Math & Science: Hands-on activities exploring basic concepts of counting, sorting and measuring. Simple science experiments.
Sunflowers
Pre-K ages 4-5
- Building on from preschool curriculum with the additions of:
- Thematic Units: Seasons and weather; Health and nutrition; Community and Cultures; Dinosaurs and fossils.
- Language & Literacy: Storytelling and discussions to enhance comprehension and vocabulary; Phonics activities, Writing experiences
- Math & Science: Exploration of basic math concepts including addition, subtraction, and patterns; Developing scientific inquiry through experiments, nature walks, and observations.
Sprouts & Sunflowers
In addition to both curriculums; We engage daily in:
- Play-Based Learning: exploration with their environment through play, critical thinking, problem solving, and social skills
- Art & Creativity: Diverse art projects that encourage creativity including sculpture, painting, and technology.
- Social and Emotional Development: Group projects and cooperative games that build teamwork and communication skills
- Physical Development: Activities that enhance gross motor skills. Fine motor development through puzzles, crafts, and manipulative games.
